For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
Look, here's the deal:
You don't have to throw out all your clothes and scrape off all your tattoos.
You don't have to start shaving everyday, or start saying "Oh my word".
You won't be asked to throw out all your music and give all your money to the church.
(If you are asked to do this, you might want to look at a different church!)
You don't even have to go to church every Sunday morning,
although I would love to see you there!
I think a lot comes down to this verse: Romans 10:9.
Believe in your heart.
Confess with your mouth.
You will be saved.
If you draw near to Him and seek Him, He will draw near to you.
And if you put Jesus first, everything else will fall into place.
By 'fall into place' I don't mean it will all be fixed, trust me.
But, you may not need life to be so perfect.
You could be happy and at peace, relying on Jesus.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.”
Acts 16:30-31
I'm sure you could find theologians and biblical scholars who could expound on this
until you are red in the face.
And a lot of that may even interest you now or later.
The fact of the matter is it can be as complicated as you want
or it can be as simple as you need.
Although biblical knowledge is awesome, you don't need to know all verses
to be a christian.

You don't even need to like christian music.
No, you don't need to stop cursing today, although you should consider it.
No, you won't need to quit smoking tomorrow, although it is killing you!
You don't need to make yourself perfect before talking to God.
Trust me, if you are like me, you will never be perfect.
I am not here to clean you up.
That is the job of our Savior Jesus Christ.
There is no special potion.
There is no secret handshake.
There is no special magical prayer.
There is no ticket to buy.
But there is Love.
From repentance there is forgiveness.
And from belief comes salvation.
Please do pray to God.
Speak from your heart.
Lift up you life to Him.
You will never be the same.
You will be a new creation!
